Thinking About: My family

Wanting: Same as needing. Also, I'm really wanting baseball season to start now.

Excited: For the planner meetup I'm attending this weekend

I'm still reminiscing about my February 2012 trip to Turks & Caicos. I really would love to go back to the Caribbean. Swimming in the Caribbean ocean was so amazing!

3. What I'm Loving...

All things planner related: Erin Condren Life Planner & accessories, pens, stickers & washi

10. What I'm Wearing...

My answer to this question rarely changes... t-shirts/tops and jeans.

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend...

Attending a planner meet up, which I'm very excited about. Aside from that, I have nothing else planned.

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

Lots of fun stuff: Nephew J's birthday, Nephew M's birthday, Spring Training, Spring Break, St. Patrick's Day, Easter

I think I've mentioned everything.

14. What Is My Favorite Easter Tradition...

Growing up, my family and I would attend Church in the morning and then come home and I have a big Easter egg hunt and my mom would always make a yummy meal. We would usually have some aunts/uncles/cousins over as well.

Weekending (#1)

On Saturday, I went to the movies and out to lunch at PF Changs with my mom and Grandma. We saw The Choice. It was a really good movie but it was really sad at some parts. We also went to Francesca's and Barnes & Noble.

On Sunday, I caught up on my DVR, went for a walk around the neighborhood, went to Walmart with my mom, and did some planning in my Erin Condren Life Planner.

Pop Sugar Must Have Box: February 2016

February 2016 Unboxing Video:

Here is what I received in my box this month:

^Front of information card^

^What inspired February's box^

I forgot to take pictures of the scarf and food item as I had brought them downstairs (I gave the  scarf to my mom) and put the food item in the pantry. I took a photo of the information card so you could see what they look like. They are included in the unboxing video which I linked above.

Tilo Heart Print Scarf
Retails for: $125
I like the scarf but I just don't wear scarves a lot so I gave this to my mom who does. Even if I did wear scarves though, I think $125 is a ton of money to pay for a scarf. This scarf was exclusively designed for Pop Sugar.

Foodstirs Heart Cookie Mix
Retails for: $12.95
I thought this was a really great item to include in a February box because of the Valentine's day holiday. Foodstirs is co-founded by Sarah Michelle Gellar and they have their own subscription box. This kit included the recipe card, cookie mix, pink sugar crystals, and a heart cookie cutter.

Jewelry Storm Endless Arrow Ring
Retails for: $28
This ring is really pretty. I had to make it bigger (by pulling the two arrows apart) because it was too small for my finger. The ring is gold with silver glitter embellishments. As with the cookie mix, I think this was a great item to include in the February box because of the Valentine's day holiday.

Fringe Studio Hello Beautiful Square Tray
Retails for: $14
This tray is so pretty. I love that the words are in gold and it goes so nice against the blue background. I'm using this tray to hold some of my bracelets.

Beauty Counter Nourishing Cleansing Balm
Retails for: $50
I think this is a great beauty item but I'm not in need of an item like this at this time in my life so I gave it to my mom. I love that they included a cloth to use with this product.

Victoria's Secret Coconut Milk Hydrating Body Lotion
Retails for: $18
This is my favorite item from this month's box (although I loved this box and it's one of my all time favorite boxes I've received). The coconut scent is so divine and the lotion is so hydrating that it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and moisturized.

Special Extras:

Sport Socks & $20 Reward Card
These socks are so comfy and the gift card doesn't need a minumin purchase in order to be used. Sometimes the special extras from Pop Sugar are hit or miss as sometimes they will include gift cards but you have to spend a certain amount in order to use the card or the card won't cover the whole cost of one item.  I'm definitely going to use this card to pick up a new beauty item. Pop Sugar hit it out of the park this month with their special extras.

Overall, this month's box was amazing and one of the best that I've ever received from Pop Sugar!

If you're interested in subscribing to Pop Sugar Must Have Box, I have a referral link available for you. With my referral link and a code I have for you, you can get $5 off your first box. If anyone is interested, leave me a comment and I will get back to you!

Five on Friday --> February 19th, 2016

1. ENT Appointment

I had my appointment yesterday with the ENT specialist. He took a culture of my nose and looked at my ears/nose/throat. Once the culture comes back, I will most likely have another appointment with him. I will definitely need to get my tonsils removed.

2. Past Two Weeks In Planner

^Using the Saltwater kit from Libbie & Co.^

^My Valentine's week layout^

3. Funny Commercial

I saw this commercial for the first time the other day and it made me laugh out loud. It's so cute and adorable!!

Confession Session Thursday

I confess…

...I really wish I was able to see my nieces & nephews more often. I miss them so much and I hate that I can't see them whenever I want.

...that the only parts of the Grammy’s I watched (I recorded it) were the country music performances and to see who won the country/pop awards.

...Sam Hunt & Carrie Underwood’s duet at the Grammy’s was phenomenal. They absolutely slayed that performance and they were both incredible and amazing together.

...when I came back to work on Tuesday (I was out of work on Thursday & Friday because I had workshops to attend and Monday was a school holiday) I had some kids ask me where I was and tell me they miss me. That always warms my heart.

...that I'm really excited to get Netflix. I'm going to get it starting this weekend. I've been wanting to get it for a while and the new series Fuller House premiering on there next week is my reason for getting it now.

...I'm obsessed with the song Ex's & Oh's by Elle King. It's such a fun song with a great rhythm/beat.

14 Things That Make Me Happy

Happy Valentine's Day to you all! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love, joy & happiness.

Today is my fur baby, Davey Eli's (one of my two cats) birthday. He turns 8 years old today.

For my Valentine's Day post today, I'm going to write about 14 random things that make me very happy. Here they are in no particular order:

1. Being an aunt to my amazing nieces & nephews. They bring me so much joy and happiness.

2. Having my Mom as my Best Friend: My mom has always been my best friend. I love spending quality time with her. We always have such a great time together!

3. NY Mets & Baseball: I'm a huge sports fan and my all time favorite sport is baseball. I'm a huge New York Mets. I'm so excited that baseball season starts up again soon!

4. Animals (especially cats & dogs): I have two cats, Davey Eli & Pumpkin and I love them so much. Animals always make me happy.

5. Planning in my Erin Condren Life Planner & planning accessories: I love anything and everything related to planning, Erin Condren, stickers, pens, and washi. It is one of my favorite hobbies.

6. Reading: I've loved reading since I was a little girl. It was one of my all time favorite things to do. I love reading books, magazines, and lots of blogs.

7. Blankets: I love curling up with a book or watching TV/movies with my favorite blankets. They keep me warm and I love being cozy and feeling relaxed.

8. Lake George, NY: My family and I used to vacation here every summer while I was growing up and to this day it is still my very favorite place to visit. If I could, I will live there all Spring/Summer and Fall. I would not want to live there in the Winter though because it's very cold. Some of my best memories have come from Lake George. I've visited twice as an adult and would love to visit whenever possible in the future.

9. The Caribbean Ocean: I went to Turks & Caicos in 2012 and I fell in love with the Caribbean ocean. It's such a bright, vibrant blue that you can't help but be happy there. The water is gorgeous and warm and the sand is cool and clean.

10. Iced coffee: I always start my day with an iced coffee and it is my favorite way to start my day. I only drink iced coffee (never hot) even in the Winter time.

11. My Favorite Stores: I love shopping at my favorite stores and I'm always happy when I'm at them. Some of my favorite stores are: Target, Hobby Lobby, Barnes & Noble, Michael's, AC Moore, Francesca's, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ulta, Sephora. I also love the online stores Erin Condren, Etsy, & Amazon.

12. My Favorite Websites: I love being on the computer and these are some of my favorite sites --> Bloglovin', Instagram, Livejournal, Facebook, Pinterest, SavvyAuntie, Youtube, Goodreads, the NY Mets website, Major League Baseball wesbite, and ESPN.

13. Visiting my family in NY: I grow up in NY and I love going back to visit my family. Spending quality time with my family is one of my favorite things to do!

14. Boating: My step-dad has a boat and I love going for boat rides and going swimming. During the boat ride, I love seating by the back of the boat and listening to music on my iPod.

Confessional Thursday (On A Saturday)

I love reading blogs and one of the blogs I read The Newly has started a Confessional Thursday Link-Up. I was at workshops the past two days which is why I'm posting this today.

I Confess...

...the sinus pressure in my head finally went away on Monday.

...my sinus pressure in my head came back with a vengeance today. My head is all stuffy and I feel miserable. The only good news is that at least it's the weekend and I can just rest and take it easy. I just want this pressure to go away.

...that I would really love to see a re-boot of my favorite TV shows (with the original casts): Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, Beverly Hills 90210, 7th Heaven, Third Watch, Friday Night Lights

...I'm so bummed that the latest season of Rookie Blue was the last one as it was one of my all time favorite shows #McSwarekForever

...that I'm still watching Christmas movies & reading Christmas books. I record all of the new Christmas movies from channels like Lifetime & Hallmark and watch them with my mom. We've had a lot going on the last few months plus I was in NY for 10 days during Christmas break which is why we haven't finished watching them. As for Christmas books, I'm on my second to last one and I'm just over halfway through it.

...I can't believe my fur-baby Davey Eli (my cat) is going to be 8 years old tomorrow. In September, it will be 7 years that we've had him.

Five on Friday --> February 5th, 2016

1. Planner Meet Up

I had such a great time at the planner meet up I attended at the end of January. I didn't realize there was so many amazing ladies who share the same interest as me that live locally. We all had such a great time. We looked at each other's planners, chatted, de-stashed stuff we wanted to get rid of, got totally amazing goodie bags and just had a wonderful time together. I love going to planner meet ups and I think that we're going to start having them in our area more often.

2. ENT Appointment

I have an appointment with an ENT doctor this month to talk about getting my tonsils removed. I keep getting lots of sinus and ear infections and my doctor said it's a result of my tonsils. I really hope  can wait until the summer to have the surgery done so that I don't have to miss time off work.

3. Grease: Live

I thought the production of Grease: Live that aired this past Sunday was absolutely incredible. I love Julianne Hough and think she's a great singer/actress/dancer. Aaron Tevit was amazing as Danny and the whole cast was phenomenal.

5. Superbowl Sunday

I'm so excited for the big game on Sunday. I really want the Broncos to win because I've always been a big fan of the Manning brothers and this is most likely Peyton's last year playing before he retires. I hope it's an exciting game. I'm also interested in seeing the commercials. Who are you rooting for in the big game?

These Are My Confessions...

I've seen these types of posts on the blog world and I decided to do a version of my own.

I confess....

-that I've had a sinus infection and/or ear infections four out of the last five months (September, October, December, January) and because of this I have to have my tonsils removed.

-the sinus pressure in my head is killing me. It hurts so bad to blow my nose and my head fills so stuffy. It's making me feel so irritable and really tired. All I want to do is lay down and rest.

-I'm very nervous to have my tonsils removed. I had a lot of complications after I had surgery in 2006.

-I wish there was a new episode of Chicago P.D. on every day. I'm addicted to this show. Also, Patrick John Flueger who plays Adam Ruzek is so handsome!

-I can't believe that my nephew M will be 12 this month. He made me an aunt for the first time and 12 years later, I have 9 amazing and incredible nieces & nephews. My greatest blessing on earth is being an aunt. I adore my nieces & nephews. They fill my heart and my life with so much joy, love, laughter, and happiness.

-I'm so excited for the reboot of Full House (Fuller House) to premiere later this month. Full House was one of my favorite shows as a child.

-that these posts are really fun and I think that I will start doing them more often.
