Five on Friday

1. Buzzfeed Article

This Article about being a long distance aunt made me laugh and cry. It is so very true. I've been having a really hard time lately missing my nieces & nephews. I miss them so very much that my heart constantly hurts. Normally during the Summer, I'm able to go to NY and spend a lot of quality time with them but this Summer, I have a job and will only be able to go for a week in July. A week is better than nothing but that is the most likely last trip back to NY for this year and for a while so it doesn't seem anywhere close to enough.

2. Erin Condren Haul

I received my 2017 Erin Condren Life Planner and the accessories I ordered this week and yesterday I filmed an unboxing video of it for my Youtube channel. I included the video below.

3. New Fall TV Show --> Pitch

This show looks really awesome. It tells the story of a young pitcher who is the first woman to play Major League Baseball.

4. College Baseball World Series

My Alma mater is in the College Baseball World Series. They have two wins and 1 loss and they have a really big game tonight in a rematch with the team they lost to on Tuesday night!

Feeling... Sad. I'm missing my nieces & nephews so badly. Normally, the Summer is when I get to spend a lot of quality time with them but that isn't going to be able to happen this Summer. I will only get to spend a week up in NY this Summer in July.

Reading... "Everybody Rise" by Stephanie Clifford

Watching... The Bachelorette, UnReal, Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, NY Mets games. On Netflix, my mom and I are watching Army Wives from the beginning. We just started season 3.

Thinking About... How much I miss my nieces & nephews and my family in NY and how I wish I was able to spend more time up there this Summer.

Needing & Wanting... Quality time with my nieces & nephews and my family in NY

Excited... To see my family in NY next month, for the two planner meet ups I will be attending next month

Loving... Spending quality time with my mom, my new Erin Condren Life Planner for 2017 and the new accessories I purchased

Books Read in May

I totally forgot to post this sooner as I had been really busy the last week of May and first week in June.

Without further ado, here are the books I read in May...

1. A Parcel For Anna Browne -Miranda Dickinson (started in April, finished in May)
3 out of 5 stars
I have read all of Miranda Dickinson's novels and loved them all. She's a really great writer and I love all of the characters she has in her books.

2. Wildflower -Drew Barrymore (started in April, finished in May)
3 out of 5 stars
Drew Barrymore is a great actress and I love watching her movies. I have many favorite movies of hers but two that I really love are Ever After & Riding In Cars With Boys. This was such a great memoir and a really insightful look into her life and things she's experienced and been through as a child actor all the way into her adult years. If you're a fan of her and her movies, I definitely recommend reading this book.

3. Me Before You -JoJo Moyes
5 out of 5 stars
I'm very late in reading this but I'm so glad I did. It's an incredible book and I loved the story between the two main characters. I'm so excited to read the sequel (After You) and see the movie that is based on the book that is out now in theaters.

4. Opportunity Knocks -Alison Sweeney
4 out of 5 stars
I've read Alison Sweeney's first two novels and loved them both. I love watching movies with her in it as she's a great actress and that's what made me want to read her first two books. I enjoyed those books as well as this book which is her third novel. She also has an autobiography out but I haven't read that.

5. Room -Emma Donoghue
1 out of 5 stars
I know everyone raved about this book and the movie, however I did not like it all. I saw the movie a week or so before reading the book (normally, I read the book before seeing the movie). I loved the movie and that's what made me want to read the book. I can't really explain why I didn't like this book other than it was just really hard for me to become invested in and want to read. The book is written from the perspective of the boy in the movie, her son. I don't know if I would have liked the book more if it was told from her perspective or not.

Have you read any of these books? If so, have you liked them? What are you currently reading?

Feeling... Sore & lazy. I had a CT scan done this week and my throat has been hurting since I've had it done. I hope that the soreness goes away soon. Last night I went to bed so early as I wasn't feeling well and I was tired and I still feel so lazy today.

Reading... I just finished reading Meternity by Meghann Foye. It was such a great book! The next book I'm reading is One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins-Reid.

Watching... The new seasons of The Bachelorette, Scream, & Unreal. As always, I'm watching my beloved Mets.

Listening To... Finding Neverland OBC recording soundtrack, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen

Thinking About... Nothing in particular.

Needing... To get Father's day cards

Wanting... New rash guards for the Summer

Excited... To see my aunt & cousin when they come to visit this weekend

Hoping... My throat feels better soon.

Loving... My family, being an aunt, morning texts from my nephew J, my fur babies Davey & Pumpkin, planning in my Erin Condren Life Planner, reading, watching Mets games, spending time with my mom
