I loved Brittany Gibbons book! I wanted to share one of my favorite passages (I enlarged the photo so it's easier to read):

What's Up Wednesday (8/26/15)

This link-up takes place on the last Wednesday of every month.

1. What We're Eating This Week...

Sunday: Stuffed peppers & mashed potatoes
Monday: I went out to dinner with a friend. We went to Chili's. I had a chicken quesadilla, broccoli, and loaded mashed potaotes. It was really delicious.
Tuesday: Spinach & cheese ravioli & salad

2. What I'm Reminiscing About...

My three weeks spent in New York spending quality time with my family. I miss them all so much already.

3. What I'm Loving...

The TV show Scream that premiered on MTV this summer! I think there's either 1 or two episodes left of the season and I really hope it comes back for another season!

4. What We've Been Up To...

I started back to work on the first day of the school year last week. I've been watching a ton of baseball and David Wright finally came back this past Monday (he's only played 8 games this season as he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and was out the majority of the season). He hit a home run in his first at bat.

5. What I'm Dreading...

Not having a decent paycheck until mid September

6.. What I'm Working On...

Nothing at the moment.

7. What I'm Excited About...

The Fall season and how great the Mets are playing!

8. What I'm Watching/Reading:

Watching: The same Summer shows I've been watching and lots of baseball
Reading: I'm currently reading Second Chance Friends by Jennifer Scott. I'm also reading lots of blogs & magazines

9. What I'm Listening To...

Lots of country music! <3

10. What I'm Wearing...

Tank tops & shorts because it's still hot here

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend...

I'm not sure yet.

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

The Fall season & pumpkin everything! <3 I'm also excited for the return of Fall TV shows.

13. What Else Is New...

I won tickets to a Mets game on September 2nd. Since I'm not in NY anymore, I will be unable to attend. If it was a weekend game, I would have been able to go up for a quick weekend trip but it's during the middle of the week. I gave the tickets to my dad.

14. What Is My Favorite Back To School Tradition...

Growing up, it was always doing something fun with my mom to close out the Summer season. I also loved school supply shopping.

Five on Friday

1. Daily Bumps Youtube Channel

The Daily Bumps Youtube Channel is easily my favorite channel on Youtube. It is a daily vlog (video blog) that follows the lives of Bryan, Missy, & Ollie. The family is so fun to watch and you can just tell how awesome, funny, and amazing they are from their videos. I found their channel about 2 months ago and I've watched every day since. When I got back from my trip to visit family, one of the first things I did on the computer was catch up on the vlogs I missed while I was away. If you're looking for a fun vlog to follow or just fun videos to watch, I would definitely recommend this channel with TWO THUMBS UP!!

2. First Day Back To Work

My summer vacation is officially over as yesterday started the first day of school. I had a wonderful summer and a great trip to NY (which I will I have a blog post about this weekend). The summer went by so quick, as is the year in general! I can't believe it's almost September!

3. Fall Is Coming

With September right around the corner, we welcome in my favorite season: FALL! Fall in the South is very different from the Fall in the North and I always find myself wanting to spend the Fall (and Summer, too) months in NY because of that reason. I miss the orange, yellow, and red leaves falling from the trees and the crisp Autumn air. I indulge in Fall as much as I can down here but it's just not the same. I brought my first pumpkin yogurts of the season and I can't tell you how amazing it was to taste the flavor of pumpkin again.

4. Bath & Body Works Haul

I needed some new soaps & anti-bacs from Bath & Body Works and I was so delighted to see that pumpkin and fall scents are back in stock for the season! Since they changed the shape of the anti-bacs (which I use all the time at work and while out & about), I need to get a new holder for them. I got 3 soaps (Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, Maple Sugar Kiss, & Crisp Morning Air), 5 anti-bacs (3 Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte and one each of Pumpkin Cupcake & Pumpkin Pecan Waffle). I also got the perfume of Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte since I had a coupon for $8 off of that. I also had a 20% off coupon so my mom and I scored some great deals!

5. New Library Reads

I picked up three books at the library yesterday that I have had on my TBR list. I got Olivia Joules & The Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding, Second Chance Friends by Jennifer Scott, and This One Is Mine by Maria Semple.

Pop Sugar Must Have Box: August 2015

This is my second year subscribing to Pop Sugar Must Have Box and I'm such a huge fan of this subscription box and I really enjoy receiving it each month.

Here is what I received in my August PSMH box:

^August Information Card^

^What Inspired August's box^

^Information card^

American Colors Mediterranean Plaid Scarf
Retails for: $79
Honestly, I'm kind of over PopSugar sending scraves. This is my second full year being a subscriber and I believe this is the 3rd scarf I've received from them. I don't wear scraves often so that's the main reason why I don't like receiving them. I've kept two scraves I've gotten and then I gave one to my mom. I put this up on the swap site and if no one wants it, I'll give it to my mom.

Pastel Best Day Ever Mug
Retails for: $12
This is such a super cute mug. I love the design of it and the saying is really cool.

Royal Apothic Tea Balm Firming Eye Treatment
Retails for: $36
This product is neat but as I don't really need to use it yet, I gave it to my mom. The little box it came in was adorable.

Southern Culture Shortstacks Pancake & Waffle Mix
Retails for: $7.99
I made this on Saturday and while it was good, I was expecting a lot more flavor so that was kind of disappointing.

Meri Meri Toot Sweet Pink Stripe Napkins
Retails for: $5.95
While these are cute, I would have rather received a different kind of item. However, I will probably use these for Valentine's Day or even Christmas.

Happy Jackson Yay Lunch! Lunch Box
Retails for: $10
I'm not sure that this would fit my lunch so I'm going to use it for organizing stickers or something like that.

MyYogaWorks 3-Month Trail
Retails for: $45
I'm not into yoga so I'm giving this to my sister who will get much more use of it!

Special Extra: Folgers Iced Cafe Caramel Macchiato Flavored Coffee Drink Concentrate
Retails for: $4.99
Yay for getting an actual item as the special extra! I don't like when we get gift cards. I'm really excited to try this! :)

Overall, this wasn't the best box for me. I really only loved 2 of the items but honestly, I've loved the majority of the items that PopSugar has sent us so far this year and I'm excited to see what else PopSugar has in store for us this year!
