What's Up Wednesday: April Edition

What We’re Eating This Week… Monday: Leftovers from Easter (ham, twice baked potatoes, veggies) Tuesday: Pasta with clams and a white wine sauce Wednesday: Cobb salad with blackened shrimp (ate out) I'm not sure about the rest of the week. What I’m Reminiscing About… My trips to NY to see my family. I grew up in NY and moved down South when I was 16 ½. I have been taking trips back to visit family ever since moving down here. While I was in H.S. and college and before I started working, I was able to visit a lot more often. Nowadays, I don’t get to go back to visit nearly as often but I always cherish the times I do get to go back and visit and I always look back fondly on all of the memories made during my trips back. What I’m Loving… Visits from family, quality time with my nephews & niece, time with friends. What I’ve Been Up To… In the beginning of the month, I had lunch with my friend L and then later that night had dinner with my friend A

1. World Autism Day Tuesday, April 2nd was World Autism Day and April is Autism Awareness Month. My   wish is for more people to become aware of Asperger's and Autism and to not judge what they do not understand. I have Asperger's. My diagnosis doesn't define me. It inspires me to live life to the fullest and be the best person I can be every day. The challenges I've faced growing up have shaped me to be a strong and confident adult. As a child, growing up being bullied, was horrible. I hated going to school. I was sad that no one wanted to be my friend. As an adult, I know that if not for going through struggles, I would have never found my true strength. Credit:  This Site 2. Books Read in March I read four books in March. One In A Million –Lindsey Kelk I rated this book 3 out of 5 stars. I love Lindsey Kelk and her novels and I have read them all. I definitely recommend them if you want a fun and light-hearted chick-lit book. Broken
