My Month is Booked: October Edtion

Here are the books I read in September:

Wish You Were Her –Elle McNicoll

My Rating: 5 stars

I loved this book so much. “An autistic YA homage to The Shop Around the Corner with a pinch of Cyrano, Elle McNicoll's Wish You Were Her is a triumph!” I love that it also featured the characters from Some like It Cold.

Maid for Each Other –Lynn Painter

My Rating: 5 stars

Another lovely novel from Lynn Painter. A millionaire and a house cleaner are a match maid in heaven in this sparkling new romantic comedy by Lynn Painter, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Happily Never After.” I loved the main characters so much!

The Sandy Page Bookshop –Hannah McKinnon

My Rating: 5 stars

I love Hannah McKinnon’s writing so much and her latest novel is just as amazing as her other novels. “The return of a prodigal daughter to her sleepy Cape Cod town brings the community together in this heartwarming all-new beach read from the acclaimed author of the “absolute treasure of a novel” (Kristy Woodson Harvey, New York Times bestselling author) The Darlings.”

You Belong Here –Megan Miranda

My Rating: 5 stars

“A decades-old secret that drove a mother from her hometown now threatens her college-bound daughter in this twisty new thriller.” This novel was so good and I did not see many of the twists coming. I really loved this novel.

One Dark Night –Hannah Richell

My Rating: 4 stars on Goodreads, really 3.5 stars

“When a body is found the day after Halloween, a small British community must reckon with its past and the dangers lurking in its present in this spine-tingling novel from “not to be missed” (Hayley Scrivener, author of Dirt Creek) author Hannah Richell.” This book was told from multiple perspectives and I really liked that. I did not see a lot of the twists coming with this novel either.

The Only Survivors –Megan Miranda

My Rating: 3 stars, really 3.5 stars

“Seven hours in the past. Seven days in the present. Seven survivors remaining. Who would you save?” This novel was good but it had a lot of details and characters and it was a little hard to keep with.

For the Record –Emma Lord

My Rating: 5 stars

Another amazing novel from Emma Lord (one of my favorite authors, even though I have a lot of favorite authors). I loved this book from start to finish. It was told in dual POV’s of the two main characters, Mackenzie & Sam.

Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...
