Books Read in July 2022

The Agathas -Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson

(My Rating: 4 stars)

I really enjoyed this book. I found this book either through IG (I follow a lot of book accounts on there) or a blog. I thought it was a very interesting story line. It was a mystery without being scary or gory which my over-active imagination and anxiety always really appreciate!

Flying Solo -Linda Holmes

(My Rating: 2 stars)

I had such high hopes for this novel because I absolutely loved the author's debut novel (Evvie Drake Starts Over), which I highly recommend. However, I was highly disappointed by this novel. While I did like the main character, I just couldn't get into this novel. I'm glad I finished it and I did enjoy how the author wrapped up the story.

Hello, Goodbye, and Everything In Between -Jennifer E. Smith

(My Rating: 3 stars)

I enjoyed this novel a lot. I liked the characters and the storyline. This book was made into a Netflix movie and right after I finished the novel, I watched the movie. I thought the movie was really good too.

The Library of Lost Things -Laura Taylor Namey

(My Rating: 4 stars)

I loved this novel a lot. I really loved the relationship between the main character and her best friend. I also loved the development of the relationship between the main character and her love interest. I highly recommend this novel.

The Hidden One -Linda Castillo
(Novel #14 in the Kate Burkholder series)

(My Rating: 5 stars)

I absolutely love this mystery series so much. I hope the author continues to write many more books for this series. This series focus on the main character, Kate Burkholder, who is formerly Amish and is a the Chief of Police in the town in which she grew up. If you like mystery series', I highly recommend this one. I never really read mystery novels until I started to read this series. The first novel was made into a Lifetime movie and after watching (and loving) the movie, I realized it was a book. By then, I think there was 3 or 4 books in the series and I devoured them and have been hooked ever since. I really wish they did a movie based on each book in the series.

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...
