What's Up Wednesday: January Edition

1. What We're Eating This Week... Monday, we had pasta & meatballs and Tuesday night we had leftovers. I'm not sure about the rest of the week though. 2. What I'm Reminiscing About... Honestly? Nothing at the moment which is a rarity for me. 3. What I'm Loving... That I'm 3 lbs. away from my first weight loss goal! Since November, I've lost 27 lbs. I'm snacking less, writing down everything that I eat and drink during the day, taking a lot of walks, cutting back on portion sizes, and choosing better food options. 4. What I've Been Up To... I'm still trying to get all of my energy back and feel 100% after having my tonsils out a month ago. I also have been continuing to substitute. 5. What I'm Dreading... Nothing at the moment. 6. What I'm Working On... I'm trying to get all caught up on reading blogs and blog posts that I want to make. I also have some Periscope videos to make as w...

Five on Friday on a Saturday.... First post of 2017

First off, Happy New Year! I can't believe this is my first blog post of 2017. One of my goals for 2017 is to start to blog more! 1. End of December: Surgery, Christmas, My 30th Birthday The end of December was such a blur. On the 20th, I had my tonsils out and the surgery went well but the recovery was so very painful and honestly took a lot longer than I thought it would. It's been a month and I still don't have all of my energy back but my throat is feeling much better. Christmas was very low-key this year. Since I had surgery, I didn't go back to NY to visit family. My mom, step-dad, grandma and I celebrated Christmas at our house but honestly I mostly laid in bed and watched Christmas movies. On New Year's Eve, I turned 30. I still wasn't feeling well so I just went to Target and Office Max/Depot with my mom and then came home. Normally, we spend the day out shopping, going to the movies, and going out to eat but I definitely was not up for t...
