Five on Friday

1. New York for the Weekend I'm so excited to be heading to NY for the weekend to visit my family. I will get to see my family and spend quality time with them as well as see my nephews football games, my niece's soccer game, and watch the World Series games with my family. Credit: Pinterest 2. NY Mets in the World Series The Mets are down 2 games in the World Series. They lost Tuesday nights game in extra innings by 1 run and they lost Wednesday nights game by 6 runs. The next three games (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are in New York and I really hope they can win them! Regardless of whether or not the Mets win the World Series this year, they had an incredible season. I'm a die hard Mets fan and if you asked me in the beginning of the season if I thought the Mets would be in the World Series this year, I would have said no. That says a lot about the resiliency, dedication, passion and heart of this team. Win or lose, whatever happens, I'm so damn p...

Weekending

Saturday:  My mom and I took my grandma out to eat at PF Changs and then we went to the movies to see The Intern starring Robert DeNiro & Anne Hathaway. It was a really good movie and it was very funny too! After the movies, we went to two stores: Francesca's and Barnes & Noble. I didn't buy anything at B&N but we did get coffees at the Starbucks there and I got a really pretty picture frame at Francesca's. After dropping my grandma off at home, I got a few things from Kroger and rented Pitch Perfect 2 from Redbox. That night I watched the movie, went on the computer for a while, and Facetimed with my nephews N & J. Credit:  SusanBranch Sunday: I spent the day at home getting some things done: vacuuming, doing the dishes, helping with dinner, hanging wet clothes to dry, and writing out & decorating my nieces & nephews Halloween cards while watching the Jets & Giants games. In the morning, I also Facetimed with my sister C, niece A,...

1. NY Mets Are Going to the World Series This team had an amazing 4-0 sweep of the Chicago Cubs in the NLCS to become National League Champions and advance to the World Series. The last time the Mets were in the World series was in 2000 and the last time they won the World Series was in 1986, the year I was born. I'm so proud to be a Mets fan and I'm super excited for the World Series! LET'S GO METS!! Credit:  This Website Credit:  NYPost 2. Five on Friday

1. NY Mets advance to NLCS The Mets did it! They beat the Dodgers in Game 5 ; win or go home scenario. And they won 3-2 thanks to an amazing game played by Daniel Murphy, pretty good defense, and the ability for Jacob deGrom, who didn't have his best stuff to power through and get the win. I'm so proud of the boys and I'm so happy to be a Mets fan!! Credit: Newsday.com 2. Ear Infection I went to the doctor's yesterday after experiencing bad dizziness and nausea the past week. It turns out I have a right ear infection with lots of fluid built up. I'm now on medicine and I feel about 25% better than yesterday so I'm hoping it will continue to clear up. 3. Mom's Birthday Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. My mom is not only the best mom in the world to me and my siblings, but she is my best friend. I love spending time with her. She's given me so much throughout the years through her wisdom, guidance, advice, courage, and frie...

Baseball: Where My Loyalty Lies

My favorite sport, one of my biggest passions, is baseball. As the great Babe Ruth said, "Baseball was, is, and always will be to me the best game in the world." ^My 25th birthday cake that my family had made for me!^ Growing up in NY, I've had the love of baseball instilled in me since I was a little girl. As far back as I look, a lot of my favorite memories can be connected to baseball. My dad started taking me to baseball games when I was young. Throughout the years and the many games of baseball I've seen in person, my dad has always been the person sitting in the seat next to me and I wouldn't want it to be anyone else. All of my life, I've always rooted for both the NY Mets and the NY Yankees. My dad took me to many Yankees and Mets games throughout the years. Naturally, I rooted for each team at each stadium.   I've watched & rooted for both the Mets and the Yankees throughout championship seasons,  playoff runs, epic collapse...
