Pop Sugar Must Have Box: October 2015

This is my second year subscribing to Pop Sugar Must Have Box and I'm such a huge fan of this subscription box and I really enjoy receiving it every month.

Here is what I received in my October PSMH Box:

^October 2015^

^What Inspired Them for October^

^Information Card^

^What a wonderful thing to see! Keep up the great job, Pop Sugar!^

The Honest Company Sea Salt & Sugar Body Scrub
Retails for: $17
I have tried a few Honest Company products and loved them. I didn't know they made a body scrub until I saw the spoilers for this box. This product smells really good and I'm very excited to use it. It came at a good time too since I'm almost out of body wash.

Richer Poorer Hope Slipper Socks
Retails for: $15
From the information card: "We're wearing these pink slipper socks designed by PopSugar through October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Richer Poorer proudly supports the fight against breast cancer and the important work of Right Action for Women." I think it's awesome that PopSugar included an item to promote Breast Cancer Awareness month as well as making a donation to Right Action for Women. These socks are incredibly cozy and fuzzy and I know I will get good use out of them in the upcoming months of Winter.

Savvy Sleepers Luxury Satin Pillowcase
Retails for: $36
I'm going to give these pillow cases (my purchase of this months box overlapped with a previous purchase and I ended up getting two October boxes) a shot and I really hope I like them. I'm very particular about pillow cases/sheets/etc. but these feel really soft and I think I'm going to like them!

Easy, Tiger Brown Paper Liquor Bag Set
Retails for: $8
This set includes 5 bags. This is the only product I didn't like this month but my mom will use these so I gave both sets to her.

Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling
Retails for: $25
I really love when Pop Sugar sends books in their boxes. This is Mindy Kaling's second novel. I haven't read her first yet but I'm going to borrow it from the library as I had been wanting to read her first book and her latest release.

Belgian Boys De Stroopwafel
Retails for: $1.59
These look really delicious and I'm very excited to try them. Sometimes it's a hit or miss when it comes to the snack items that PopSugar sends but I really like this selection!

Special Extras:
It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product
Retails for: $11.96
This product is one of my favorite hair products that I've ever tried. I don't always buy it because the regular size is pretty pricey but I splurge on it every once in a while. I'm very excited that PopSugar selected this item!

Danielle Stevens Monogram Gift Card
Retails for: $40
From the information card: "Use this $40 gift card to rock your own monogrammed statement piece." For the longest time, I've wanted to get a piece of jewelery with my nieces & nephews names and/or initials and I think I will try to find a piece from this website!

Overall, I absolutely loved this months box! There was only one item that I didn't like that I passed along to my mom. I'm also really excited that my purchases overlapped and I got two books! I'm going to keep the pillowcase, the beauty products, and the snack item from both books and I'm going to pass on the book, the gift card, and the socks from the second box to my friend. This box hit it out of the park for me! :)

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

What's Up Wednesday: October 2024 Edition

What We're Eating This Week... Monday: Leftovers (meatloaf) Tuesday: Chick Fil A Wednesday: Pizza I'm not sure about the rest of the week. What I'm Reminiscing About... When the Mets were in the World Series in 2015! What I'm Loving... Spending time with family, spending time with my best friend and her kiddos, watching sports (my nephew's football games, baseball, NFL, college football), Hallmark movies. What I've Been Up... I babysat for my best friend's adorable daughter while they were at a wedding and we had so much fun. We played with blocks, read (including one book like 15 times), watched movies and cuddled, and played with toys. I did some shopping (both online and in person). I had a bestie day with her and her kiddos. We went shopping and had Chick Fil A for lunch. I've been filming and uploading videos for my YT channel. What I'm Dreading... Nothing at the moment.   What We're Eating This Week... Monday: Pizza Tuesday: Caesar Salad Wednesday: Fajitas Thursday: Baked ziti Friday: Leftovers I'm not sure about Saturday & Sunday What I'm Reminiscing About... I have been looking at photos of my nieces and nephews from when they were younger and thinking of all the special memories we shared. What I'm Loving... I've been loving all the football. I really wanted the Buffalo Bills to make it into the Superbowl but sadly they did not. I've also been loving: reading, cuddles with my cats, filming for my Youtube channel, watching my nephew Nicky's basketball games (on streaming). What I've Been Up To... My mom had surgery on her foot so I've been taking care of her. I've also been watching lots of movies, TV shows, and sports. My niece came home from college for a weekend and we went to the bookstore and had coffee there and got some books. I purchased some books for myself and two books for my niece. Credit: Pip...
