Books Read in August 2022

Smells Like Tween Spirit (Class Mom #4) -Laurie Gelman

(My Rating: 4 stars)

I love this series so much. This book (just like the others in the series) are quick, easy reads with lots of laughs. This novel takes place as the main character's son is in middle son and on the wrestling team. If you haven't checked out this series, I highly recommend them.

Every Summer After -Carley Fortune

(My Rating: 5 stars)

A novel that takes place at a lake? Sign me up! I read this book in one day because I could not put it down. Between the setting, the characters, and the storyline, I absolutely loved everything about this book. This is the debut novel from this author and I'm so excited to read more.

The Summer of Broken Rules -K.L. Walther

(My Rating: 5 stars)

I enjoyed this book so much. Again, I absolutely loved the setting. I loved the relationship between the two main characters/love interests. I highly recommend both this book and Every Summer After as well.

Short Story: Evidence of the Affair -Taylor Jenkins Reid

I thought this was such an interesting story and I think it definitely could have been an entire novel with more details and back and forth between the characters (the chapters were alternating POV's).

Meant to Be -Emily Giffin

(My Rating: 5 stars)

Another fabulous novel from Emily Giffin. I loved the main characters and that the chapters were alternating POV's. I also really liked the ending and wasn't expecting it to end like that.

Love on the Brain -Ali Hazelwood

I really liked this novel (not as much as The Love Hypothesis) but it still was really good. I loved the relationship between the two main characters and how it developed throughout the novel.

  2. I always intend to read something from Taylor Jenkins Reid, but haven't. Since I do own one novel by her though I should give it a chance. :)

I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...
