What's Up Wednesday: August 2019

What We're Eating This Week...

Monday: Outback. I had steak with Caesar salad and loaded mashed potatoes.
Tuesday: Pizza
Wednesday: Cheeseburger, French fries, veggies
Thursday: Pot stickers, veggies
Friday: Sausage and mac & cheese
I'm not sure about this weekend.

What I'm Reminiscing About...

My Summer trips to NY. I think I reminisce about those trips all Summer long.

What I'm Loving...

Spending time with my mom and my cats when I'm not working. At work, getting to know our new class of students.

What I've Been Up To...

On August 4th, I got to spend the entire day with my best friend, A. We had so much fun together. August 11th-August 15th, I was in a different part of the state for training for my job. The first day of school started on August 20th with our new class of students. I had an epidural on August 27th in hopes to help with my hip/back pain and I've been in more pain since I've had it.

What I'm Dreading...

I know things could always be much worse but being in constant pain 24/7 is debilitating. It constantly affects my sleep and my state of mind because I'm always in pain and exhausted.

What I'm Working On...

Filming videos for Youtube.

What I'm Excited About...

I won a few planner related giveaways and at the training I attended, I won two giveaways for our class/school.

What I'm Watching/Reading...

Watching: I finished watching Beverly Hills 90210 from the beginning. Now I'm trying to catch up on Hallmark and Lifetime movies I have taped on my DVR. If the Mets are being broadcasted on TV, I'm watching those games.

Reading: I only read two books in August (and I'm half-way through another book). I read The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman and rated it 5 stars. The another book I read was The Floating Feldman's by Elyssa Friedland and I rated it 3 stars.

What I'm Listening To...

I've finally caught up on my friend Cindy's podcast (The Uncurated Life). The next podcast I'm going to catch up on is Amy Tangerine's.

What I'm Wearing...

At work: work t-shirt and jeans or shorts.
At home: lounge clothes or pajamas

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

I'm just going to be resting and taking it easy and hoping that this pain in my hip and back goes away. I will also be watching the Mets games.

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

FALL and all things Pumpkin! My sister K's birthday is in September and on September 25th, it will be 10 years that I've had my cat Davey Eli.

What Else Is New...

I think I covered everything.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
