What's Up Wednesday: March 2019 Edition

What We’re Eating This Week…

Monday: My mom and step-dad went to Outback. I wanted to stay home but they brought me food home. I had steak and lobster tail with a Caesar salad.
Tuesday: Salmon, veggies
Wednesday: Not sure
Thursday: Cobb salad from T.G.I. Friday’s

and I’m not sure about the rest of the week.

What I’m Reminiscing About…
The past two years that I attended Go Wild. Go Wild is the biggest national planner conference for paper planners. Go Wild 2017 was in Nashville, TN. Last year, it was in Austin, Texas. This year it is in Las Vegas.

What I’m Loving…
I’ve been re-watching Beverly Hills, 90210 from the beginning and I’m loving it. It’s definitely one of my all time favorite shows. I’m also loving spending time with my mom.

What I’ve Been Up To…
I’m still on medical leave and will be until mid-May. I’ve been having lots of doctors’ appointments. Last week, I ended up having to have surgery because I developed a nasal abscess in my nose. It was so swollen and so painful. I was in pain for a week and when I had my second ENT appointment to check on it, my doctor took one look at it and said it needed to come out. Luckily, it was a minor procedure (although I did need to be put under) and it was outpatient, so I was able to go home after spending some time in recovery.

What I’m Dreading…
Doctor’s appointment co-pays and bills.

What I’m Working On…
Doing a deep clean of my room and some other things while I’m home on medical leave.

What I’m Excited About…
I recently started filming and uploading planner videos to Youtube and it has me really excited!

What I’m Watching/Reading…
Watching: Regular TV Shows, Beverly Hills 90210, baseball
Reading: I recently finished Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah and I’m about to start reading From Twinkle, with Love by Sandhya Menon.

What I’m Listening To…
Lots of country music especially Kenny Chesney & Brett Young.

What I’m Wearing…
Lots of lounge clothes/pajamas when I’m home. If I’m out attending doctor’s appointments and running errands, I’m in t-shirts and jeans (or leggings).

What I’m Doing This Weekend…
I will be filming at least one Youtube video. I want to do some more cleaning in my room. Other than that, I don’t have any plans as of now.

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…
Visits from family, Easter, sister C’s birthday, and three of my friends have birthdays in April. It’s also World Autism Day on April 2nd. I will also be attending a local planner meet up.

What Else Is New…
I think I mentioned everything.

Bonus Question: What is my favorite Easter side dish?
My mom’s twice baked potatoes.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
