What's Up Wednesday: October Edition

What I'm Eating This Week...

Monday: Cheeseburger and Veggies
Tuesday: Beef Stir-Fry
Wednesday: Sausage & Peppers
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Pizza night
Saturday: Tacos at Moe's with my friend and her children
Sunday: Chicken Parm at my favorite Italian restaurant. I'm taking my mom and my step-dad out to celebrate their birthdays.

What I'm Reminiscing About...

Three years ago, when the NY Mets were in the World Series and I went to NY to visit my family for the weekend during the middle of the World Series.

What I'm Loving...

Spending time with my mom and my friends, making Plan With Me planner videos on IG Live, watching post-season baseball even though Boston won and I don't like Boston sports teams.

What I've Been Up To...

At work, my hours have switched from 8:30-5:30 to 8-5 which I've been enjoying. At work, I celebrated my 1 year anniversary. We had our class Halloween party, had staff training day on Columbus Day, decorated a class pumpkin for a contest. We made a spider by painting the pumpkin black, using paper for legs, and adding googly eyes. We didn't win but the kiddos had a lot of fun decorating it. I also attended a planner meet up, spent time with my mom and my friends. My mom, dad, nephew M, and one of my bosses all had birthdays in October.

What I'm Dreading...

Being in constant pain every day due to my hip and my RA.

What I'm Working On...

Projects for my class, and getting ideas for Christmas presents for my family and friends.

What I'm Excited About...

Birthdays: My mom, dad, nephew M, and one of my bosses all had birthdays this month. I got my hours changed at work and I am very excited about that.

What I'm Watching/Reading...

Watching: Playoff baseball, Fall TV shows, Halloween/Fall movies.
Reading: I only read two books this month as I've been watching more TV/movies. I read The Favorite Sister by Jessica Knoll and Just Jessie by Jessie James Decker.

What I'm Listening To...

Lots of country music.

What I'm Wearing...

Work shirts and pants. On the weekend, lounge clothes or shirts/sweaters and jeans/leggings.

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

Saturday: In the morning, I went out with my friend Amber. We went to Starbucks, Target, Michael's and out to eat at Wahlburgers. It was such a fun time. I came home and relaxed for a while and then I went out with my friend Roxanne and her sons. We ate at Moe's for dinner and then we went to Target.
Sunday: Relaxing in the morning and later on going out for dinner to celebrate my mom and step-dad's birthdays.

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

Thanksgiving, a week off from work, and all things Christmas related: music, movies, books, decorating, etc.

What Else Is New...

I think I've covered everything.

Comments

  1. SO with you on coming up with ideas for Christmas gifts. I really need to get on that. I usually have my list started by now so I can scoop some things up online the weekend after Thanksgiving! Ugh, I hope the pain you're in is minimized soon--it absolutely sucks to be in constant pain.

Have a great week, friend! xo

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
