What's Up Wednesday: January Edition

1. What We're Eating This Week...

Monday, we had pasta & meatballs and Tuesday night we had leftovers. I'm not sure about the rest of the week though.

2. What I'm Reminiscing About...

Honestly? Nothing at the moment which is a rarity for me.

3. What I'm Loving...

That I'm 3 lbs. away from my first weight loss goal! Since November, I've lost 27 lbs. I'm snacking less, writing down everything that I eat and drink during the day, taking a lot of walks, cutting back on portion sizes, and choosing better food options.

4. What I've Been Up To...

I'm still trying to get all of my energy back and feel 100% after having my tonsils out a month ago. I also have been continuing to substitute.

5. What I'm Dreading...

Nothing at the moment.

6. What I'm Working On...

I'm trying to get all caught up on reading blogs and blog posts that I want to make. I also have some Periscope videos to make as well as a Youtube video.

7. What I'm Watching/Reading...

Watching: All of my regular TV shows
Reading: I'm still reading Christmas books and I need to get my butt in gear because I'm still on the book that I started at the beginning of the month. I've been slacking on reading.

8. What I'm Listening To...

Matthew Morrison, Kenny Chesney, Andy Grammer, Kate Voegele

9. What I'm Wearing...

Shirts/sweaters, jeans/pants. When I'm home, I'm always in pajamas or lounge clothes.

10. What I'm Doing This Weekend...

I have two planner meet ups that I will be attending this weekend and I'm very much looking forward to those.

11. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

My nephew M turns 13!, and my brother & Grandma both have birthdays as well. My fur baby, Davey Eli turns 9. I will be going to Turks & Caicos for a week. I'm also looking forward to Valentine's Day (I love holidays!).

12. What Else Is New...

I'm going to a huge planner conference in April this year with some planner friends of mine and I can't wait. I'm so excited to meet new friends and partake in all of the festivites. I'm also really excited about the location (I will talk more about it soon) because it's a place I've always wanted to go to and explore.

Bonus Question This Month:

Who Is Your All Time Favorite Bachelor?

I'm choosing two because I can't pick just one (lol):
1) Sean Lowe
2) Ben Higgins

And just for fun: my favorite Bachelorettes are Jojo Fletcher & Trista Sutter.

  1. Visiting from the link up! I'm a little jealous of all the planner meet ups. I'm just getting into the world of Planning so I'm like a sponge soaking up all of the planner knowledge! Congratulations on being close to your first weight loss goal, that's awesome!

    1. Hi, Donna! Thank you for the comment and for stopping by from the link-up. I've been into planning for years now but just recently found the planner community two years ago. It's such a wonderful community to be a part of. I suggest seeing if you have any local or semi-local planner girls near you. I know they are a ton of different groups out there. Also, feel free to add me on Instagram at /amyraeplans5.

    1. Thank you so very much, Trac! :)

They are both so amazing. I've seen Kenny Chesney in concert three times and his shows are always incredible. He is my all time favorite singer. Matthew Morrison is incredibly talented. I was lucky enough to see him on Broadway when he was in Finding Neverland. I think my mouth was open to the floor the whole show. It was beyond amazing and I definitely did not want it to end!

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
