Five on Friday: Fall Favorites

Linking Up With...

Fall is definitely my favorite time of year and I wanted to make a post about some of my favorite things about Fall.

1. Pumpkin Everything

I love pumpkin flavored and pumpkin scented products as well as pumpkin/fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving decor. I love going to Hobby Lobby, Target, Walmart, Michael's, AC Moore, Marshall's and TJ Maxx all the time but especially during the Fall & Winter seasons. I've already brought a bunch of pumpkin food products and as of last weekend I had my first PSL of the season. I've had lots of yummy pumpkin yogurts. My favorite brands are Chobani Greek yogurt (as well as the pumpkin harvest Chobani flips) and the Noosa brand from Target. I've tried some other great pumpkin stuff as well, including pumpkin Poptarts.

2. Playoff Baseball & the World Series

I'm a huge sports lover and my all time favorite sport is baseball. This year I'm extra excited for playoff baseball as my favorite teams (I root for the Mets & Yankees and have since I was a little girl, but I would say I'm more of a Mets fan) are both in playoff contention with the Mets having an unbelievable second half of the season. The Mets haven't been in the playoffs since 2006 so I'm really excited to see what's in store for them.

3. Fall TV Shows Return

I love a lot of TV shows and I'm so excited when they start back for a new season! Some of my current favorite TV shows are Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Law & Order: SVU, Survivor, Nashville, Grey's Anatomy, Chrisley Knows Best, and Dancing With The Stars. However, I do watch many more shows than that.

4. Autumn Nights

I love the crisp coolness in the air and one of my favorite ways to relax at night in the Fall (and Winter as well) is reading books and magazines all curled up in my bed with my blankets and pillows. I also love watching TV shows & movies this way too. Hocus Pocus is one of my all time favorite movies and I watch at least 2-3 times every Fall.

5. Football Season

As I mentioned above, I love sports. Every Fall brings the arrival of the new football season. I was born & raised in NY and root for the Jets & Giants. However, since I don't live in NY anymore, I don't always get to watch those games on TV. When they are televised, you can bet that I'm watching them (unless my baseball teams are playing in playoff games), then I record them.

    1. They were very good.

Yes, between my DVR and live shows it's crazy. During baseball season, I tend to watch them after I recorded them.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
