Five on Friday

1. 14 years: September 11th, 2001

Today is a day of remembrance for those who lost their lives on 9/11, but it shouldn't just be today that we remember them, it should be everyday of our lives. I want to thank all of the heroes who gave their lives protecting us that day. I want to thank all of the heroes that continue to serve in our military and armed forces. I want to thank the heroes that go to work everyday and risk their lives to serve and protect us: police officers & firefighters. I want to personally thank MY HERO, my big brother. My brother worked the recovery efforts and I can't imagine the horrific things he had to see, experience, and endure. My brother has always been my hero. I love and admire him so much and I'm so lucky to have such a selfless and special brother like him. He is so courageous and brave. I'm so incredibly proud of my brother and all he has done. He is the best big brother a girl could ask for!!

2. Sinus Infection/Allergy Issues

I went to the doctor's on Thursday and I have a sinus infection. I had been having bad pressure in my head & face and a stuffy nose for over a week and it wasn't getting any better. I get two shots and antiboitics. I'm only feeling about 30% better. Last night, I couldn't sleep even though I was exhausted. I got about 4 hours of sleep total (if that). My doctor referred me to an allergist because I get at least 4-6 sinus and/or respiratory infections throughout the year.

3. Charles Esten & Clare Bowen Concert

I went to see Charles Esten & Clare Bowen in concert this past Saturday. The concert was great except for the fact that Clare Bowen's band music/audio was too loud and it overpowered her. You couldn't really hear what she was singing. That was a huge dissapointment since she is a really great singer. However, Charles Esten was fabulous!

4. Rookie Blue Season 6 Finale

Last week was the season 6 finale of Rookie Blue. It was Andie & Sam's wedding day. It was a really great episode. There isn't any news out yet on if they are coming back for a 7th season but I really hope they do as it's one of my favorite shows.

5. New York Mets

The Mets have been playing amazing lately. They swept the Nationals and are 7.5 games up on the Nationals in the NL East. They won last night against Atlanta. It's a very exciting time for Mets fans!!

  1. Jealous of that concert, girl! I hear you on sinus/allergy issues; this year has been a killer here and I'm back on meds again as of yesterday. Hang in there! And thank you for the 9/11 reminder :)

    1. It was so awesome! :)

I know, it's brutal. My doctor referred me to an allergist so I'm hoping I can figure out what's going on. Thanks, sweetie.

I hope you don't mind that I added you on Facebook. :)

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
