Sunday Social for 10/5/14

1. What is your favorite month & why?

This is a tough question. I love the summer months but I also love December because of the holiday season, my niece/God-daughter's birthday, and my birthday. I also really love October & November too because it's FALL and I love the fall weather and it's also  pumpkin everything, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and my mom & dad have birthdays in October.

2. What is your favorite holiday and why?

I've always loved Christmas. Growing up, we would do so many things in preparation for Christmas: decorating the inside & outside of the house, having cookie bakes with my cousins & aunt, having a family Christmas party. As a child and as an adult I've always loved Christmas music, Christmas movies, and Christmas themed episodes of TV shows. I love buying Christmas presents for my family members, especially my nieces and nephews. I love watching their face when they open up a gift from me that I know they've been wanting. It brings such joy to my heart to make my family members, especially my nieces & nephews happy. As a child and as an adult my favorite thing about Christmas/December is being surrounding by lots of love and family all month long.

3. Are you getting the new iPhone, or are you more of an Android person?

I really want the new iPhone but I can't justify spending the money on it and making my cell phone bill go up each month. I currently have a 4S so I would love to upgrade to a 5S one of these days.

4. What is the most thoughtful gift you've ever received from someone?

I think all of the gifts I've received over the years have been thoughtful but one that sticks out in my mind the most is that my dad surprised me with tickets to meet my favorite athlete for my birthday in 2006.

5. What is something you can't wait to splurge on?

I'm not doing any splurging anytime soon but if I could I would love to splurge on the iPhone 5S.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
