The Sunday Social ; Final Edition

Sunday Social for 10/12/14

This is the last edition of Sunday Social and I've loved this link up very much. Thank you to the hosts, Neely & Ashley!!

1. How did you come up with your blog name?

I made this name when I was only using my blog for reviews but I decided to start using it as a regular blog and I wish I had given more thought to the name before making it. Oh well, it is what it is. I named my blog NYSTATEOFMIND5 because I'm from NY and I don't currently live there but I'm always in a New York State of Mind. 5 is my favorite number as it is my favorite athlete's number. If I were to name my blog today, I believe that I would still have some representation of NY in there. Maybe "my hearts in a new york state of mind" or something very similar. I'm not sure, can you change the name of your blog on blogspot without starting your blog over?

2. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I love having a creative outlet. I also love having something to look back on which is another reason why I still have and use my Livejournal account. I love meeting new people through blogging and I love finding new blogs to read.

3. What is one thing you've discovered because of blogging and now can't live without?

Erin Condren Life Planner and all the awesome blogs I've found through blogging that I love.

4. Facebook or Twitter? Why?

I like both but I'm more of a Facebook girl because it's my main way of keeping in touch with family members (sister/aunts/uncles/cousins) that live in NY or other places.

5. If one celeb read your blog, who would you want it to be?

Katie Holmes. She has been my favorite actress since the first episode of Dawson's Creek premiered.

6. What is something you want people to know about your blog?

I'm going to agree with Ashley's answer and say what you see is what you get. I don't pretend to be something I'm not.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
