In April, I ended up reading four books which considering I had only read one book as of April 20th, I'm pretty proud of.
Here are the books I read in April 2025:
Finlay
Donovan Digs Her Own Grave (Book #5) –Elle Cosimano
My Rating:
4 stars
If Goodreads had a half star system, I would have rated this book 4.5 stars.
Another fabulous novel in the Finlay Donovan series. I think this series would make a great TV show on a streaming network. The novels are always so fun and entertaining. I love the relationship between the main character and her nanny/best friend/room-mate as well as the relationship between the main character and her love interest.
Check
& Mate –Ali Hazelwood
My Rating:
4 stars
I love Ali
Hazelwood’s novels so much. This was a YA novel. Do I like or know anything
about chess? No. That didn’t matter though because I loved the storyline. I
loved the relationship between the main characters. I also really loved the
relationship between the female main character and her family, as well as her
relationship with her best friend.
Birds of
California –Katie Cotugno (re-read)
My Rating:
4 stars
I re-read
this because I thought the book I read after this was a sequel to it but it
wasn’t. Katie Cotugno is one of my favorite authors. (Speaking of that, one day
soon, I will make a blog post with a list of my favorite authors.) Her writing
is so good. I highly recommend reading her novels if you haven’t.
Meet the
Benedettos –Katie Cotugno
My Rating:
4 stars
If Goodreads had a half star system, I would have rated this book 4.5 stars.
Another fabulous novel by Katie Cotugno. This book is told in multiple POV’s. I enjoyed this book so much that I was so sad to see it be 256 pages. I feel like with the multiple POV’s, this book could have been longer and had more details to it. I’m not saying that as a slight to the book, I'm only saying that because I loved it so much and I wanted the story to continue and was sad when it ended.
I am going to have to check out Check & Mate; I love Ali Hazelwood novels but haven't read that one yet.
ReplyDeleteIt was really good. Thank you for commenting.
DeleteI haven't read any Katie Cotugno books but I'll be adding em' to my TBR! :] I love/hate when I find books I love that are short where I wish more was written because I loved it so much (I usually just end up reading everything the author's written though when this happens though, so there's that!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with me at My Month Is Booked!
I hope you love her novels as much as I do. I have read everything she's written but I will re-read her books!
DeleteOf course. I love this link-up. Thank you so much for hosting it every month.
