What's Up Wednesday: February 2025 Edition

What We're Eating This Week...

Monday: Turkey, potatoes, veggies
Tuesday: Cheesy bread (had a salad for a late lunch)
I'm not sure about the rest of the week.

What I'm Reminiscing About...

My two trips I've taken to the Caribbean (2011 and I think 2016) which both happened in February.

What I'm Loving...

My sister C, BIL A, niece A, and nephew M came to visit for 8 days and it was really nice to see them and spend some quality time with them. I couldn't do a lot because of the pain in my hip but we manage to do a few things that didn't require a lot of walking for me.

What I've Been Up To...

Spending time with family, cleaning, relaxing.

What I'm Dreading...

The pollen coming with the start of Spring. I'm allergic to it and it bothers me so much.

What I'm Working On...

March content schedule for my Youtube channel.

What I'm Excited About...

Spending time with family, bestie day with A & A.

What I'm Watching/Reading...

Watching: regular TV shows, Hallmark movies, new season of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix
Reading: I'm reading my fourth book of the month: The Art of Catching Feelings by Alicia Thompson. I'm hoping to get it finished by the end of Friday. I will have a book blog post coming soon.

What I'm Listening To...

George Birge, Post Malone, Morgan Wallen. I've also been listening to my 2024 favorite songs playlist on Spotify.

What I'm Doing This Weekend...

I don't have any plans.

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...

My nephew J's birthday, baseball season starts (LET'S GO METS), St. Patrick's Day.

What Else Is New...

I think I covered everything.

  1. Oh the Caribbean sounds wonderful right about now! I wasn't even thinking of pollen and allergies... but we have at least several more months before I have to worry about that here.

    1. I really want to switch the Caribbean ocean with the ocean I have by my house. I would be at the beach all of the time. lol. Yes, for the area I live in, we get it starting in mid-March and it's bad around here. Thank you so much for reading and commenting.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
