Books Read in August 2023 (My Month Is Booked Link-Up)

                                                    Talking at Night –Claire Daverley

My Rating: 3 stars

I saw that one of my favorite authors loved this book which is a debut novel and I decided to give it a shot. I really liked the relationship between the two main characters. One thing I did not like about this book was that the conversations did not have quotes “ around them. I found that frustrating.

Summer Stage –Meg Mitchell Moore

My Rating: 4 stars

I really love Meg Mitchell Moore’s writing. This book was told from three different POV’s and it was so good.

The Captain’s Daughter –Meg Mitchell Moore

My Rating: 4 stars

Another great read from Meg Mitchell Moore. This book was very sad at some parts but overall it was a really great book. I really love her style of writing and I can’t wait to read the rest of her novels.

We Ship It –Lauren Kay

My Rating: 3 stars

This book centered on a very academic and strict rule following teenager who doesn’t want to go on a cruise with her family during summer but ultimately ends up having a pretty good time.

Cruel summer –Morgan Elizabeth

My Rating: 4 stars

This book was the second novel in the Seasons of Revenge series. I enjoyed this novel much more than the 1st one in the series.

What Happens After Midnight –K.L. Walther

My Rating: 4 stars

Another fantastic novel from K.L. Walther. I love her style of writing. I always love her characters as well.

Tilly in Technicolor –Mazzy Eddings

My Rating: 4 stars

I loved that the two main characters in this novel are both Neurodivergent. I love the relationship between the two main characters.

The summer List –Ginger Walls

My Rating: 3 stars

This was a cute summer themed story. I really like the relationship between the two main characters.

Left Field Love –C.W. Farnsworth

My Rating: 5 stars

I love this book so much. I really love everything about this book: the characters, the setting, and the storyline. Spoiler: this book is on my list of my favorite books I’ve read this year.

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel.
