Books Read in October 2021

Better Together -Christine Riccio

I really liked this book. I started this book in late October and finished it in November. I thought it was a very unique and interesting story-line and I liked the characters a-lot. I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

The Heart Principle -Helen Hoang

I really love that the book's main character is on the spectrum (she has Asperger's which is now just defined as being on the Autism spectrum). I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was 10. The author also has this diagnosis as well. I love that she writes books with characters on the spectrum. I did enjoy this book. I'm not a fan of books having lots of graphic sex scenes in them (it's just not my cup of tea) but other than that I loved the book. I rated it 3 stars,

No Memes of Escape -Olivia Blacke

This is the second novel in the Brooklyn Murder Mystery series. While I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first book in the series, it's still very good. I rated it 3 stars.

In A Holidaze -Christina Lauren

I loved this book last year when I first read it so I knew I wanted to re-read it this holiday season. I highly recommend this book. It's on my list of books I want to own in the future. I also want to read the other novels by these two authors. I rated this book 4 stars.

The Holiday Swap -Maggie Knox

I loved this book so much! I added it to my top 10 list of books I've read this year. I loved everything about this book: the storyline, the characters, the setting. I highly recommend this book as well. I rated this book 4 stars.

The Party Crasher -Sophie Kinsella

Another fabulous book by one of my favorite authors! I really enjoyed this book (as I do all of her novels). This novel had a really unique storyline. I rated this book 3 stars.

  1. Loved that Christina Lauren, and am hoping to read more by them soon! I just finished my first Sophie Kinsella book and have another on deck. Hoping she becomes one of my faves too! The Holiday Swap sounds a lot like the movie The Holiday. Have you seen it? And if so, am I right?

    1. I've read all of Sophie Kinsella's books (and her books she writes under the name Madeline Wickham as well) and have loved them all. I hope she becomes a favorite of yours too. The premise of The Holiday Swap is about two twin sisters swapping lives so it's similar to The Holiday a little bit. Thank you for reading and commenting.

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...
