Books Read In June 2021

I was on vacation visiting my family when this blog link-up went live so that's why it's late.

In June, I read 10 books.

Husband Material -Emily Belden

This was a cute story. I like her writing. I rated it 3 stars on Goodreads.

The Chaos of Standing Still -Jessica Brody

I absolutely loved this book. I really think it would make a cute Netflix movie. I highly recommend this one! I rated it 4 stars.

One Last Stop -Casey McQuiston

I had really high hopes for this novel since I loved her first novel (Red, White, & Royal Blue) so much. I did enjoy this novel but it definitely wasn't as great as I was expecting it to be. I still do recommend it though because it was a cute storyline. The beginning half of the book was slow to me so I think that may be why I didn't enjoy it as much as her first novel. I rated it 3 stars.

Untamed -Glennon Doyle

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. There were a couple of times that I had different opinions than the author (and that's totally okay because we are all different). I rated this book 3 stars.

Class Mom -Laurie Gelman (re-read)

I love this series so much and I wanted to re-read the first two books before the third one came out. I'm on the waitlist for it at the library and I can't wait to read it. I highly recommend these books. They are very cute and fun reads! I rated this book 4 stars.

You've Been Volunteered -Laurie Gelman (re-read)

This is the sequel to Class Mom. It's such a easy, light-hearted and fun read. I rated it 5 stars.

Malibu Rising -Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book was so amazing. I read it in 2 days. From the very beginning, I was hooked and I love when that happens. This is my favorite book I've read so far this year. Also, how awesome is that cover? It's so beautiful! I rated this book 5 stars.

The Lazy Genius Way -Kendra Adachi

I loved this book so much and I highly recommend it! I wrote down a lot of notes from it. I rated it 4 stars.

Killer Content -Olivia Blacke

I think I found out about this book from a blog post and I'm so glad I did. It was such a good read. The second novel in this series comes out this fall and I'm so excited for it. I rated it 4 stars.

UNpregnant -Jenni Hendriks & Ted Caplan

I enjoyed this book. I definitely want to watch the movie too but I didn't want to watch the movie until after I read the book. I rated this book 3 stars.

I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...
