Books Read in January 2021

In January, I read 5 books, including one re-read.

Faking Under The Mistletoe -Ashley Shepherd

I loved this book so much. I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. After I finished this book, I immediately purchased her second novel. I rated this book 4 stars on Goodreads.com.

The Fine Art of Losing Control -Ashley Shepherd

While I didn't love this book as much as Faking Under The Mistletoe, I still enjoyed it. I hope this author comes out with another book soon. I really enjoyed her writing. I rated this book 3 stars.

My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Holiday Stories -Multiple Authors

I love this holiday story collection and I like to re-read it every year. I also recommend the Summer collection called Summer Days & Summer Nights. I rated this book 5 stars.

A Cosy Candelit Christmas -Tilly Tennant
I love reading lots of Christmas books (and watching a ton of Christmas movies). I start reading/watching in November and usually don't stop until late February. Fun Fact: I keep the mini (4 ft') tree in my room up until the end of February. It just brings me so much joy and let's be honest, we always need as much joy as possible in life. I didn't enjoy this book as much as other Christmas novels but I still enjoyed and would recommend it. I rated it 3 stars.

Sam & Ilsa's Last Hurrah -Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
I was hoping to love this book as much as I love the Dash & Lily series from these two authors but I just didn't. I didn't want to give up on it though but it's not a novel I would re-read. I do highly recommend the Dash & Lily book series by these authors and the Dash & Lily series on Netflix. I rated this book 2 stars.
