Five on Friday --> April 22nd, 2016

1. Weekend Trip to New York

Last weekend, I went to NY for the weekend as my nephew, N, was making his first Communion. My mom and I arrived on Friday and went to lunch with my sister K & brother R. It was great to spend some time all together. After lunch, we went to my brother's house and I finally got to meet my adorable fur-nephew, Rocky. He is such a cute puppy! He's a Golden Retriever and he's absolutely adorable. My nephews J & N and I played with the dog, they showed me their baseball and football cards, we played basketball, and had pizza for dinner. Then my mom and I headed to my sister's house. We pent some quality time with my nephew M & niece O before they went to bed. The Communion and the party were on Saturday. It was really nice getting to see my cousins that I haven't seen in a while. On Sunday, my nephew M had a play and he was wonderful in it. We also went out to lunch for Chinese food and went to Barnes & Noble. I really enjoyed getting to see my family and spend quality time with my niece & nephews.

2. Amazin' Again -Greg W. Prince

I'm currently reading this book about the 2015 New York Mets and it's a really awesome book about written by one of the blog writers from Faith & Fear In Flushing. I'm almost half way through it. It's a really great account of last year's team!

4. Disney Channel Original Movies

Disney Channel is airing it's 100th Original Movie this summer and in honor of that they are airing a bunch of the old school original Disney Channel movies during Memorial Day weekend. I'm so excited to see some of the awesome movies I watched as kid and really enjoyed! This article shows the lineup of the movies they are airing and on what days and times they are airing them.

Books Read in February 2022

  The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

  Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

  In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
