Five on Friday

One: The holiday season (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's Eve)

I'm so excited that the holiday season is here. I'm going to put my tree in my room this weekend. It may be early but I can't help myself. I have also been listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas movies since November 1st. Call me crazy but I love spending all of November & December celebrating the holiday season.

Two: Shopping

This weekend I will be going to Target (I've been going a lot lately). In the next few weeks, I want to go to Hobby Lobby (one just opened in my area and I'm so excited because I absolutely love that store) & Marshall's and probably Target again. I'm mostly done with my Christmas shopping, I just have about 5 more gifts to get.

Three: Currently Reading: My True Love Gave To Me: 12 Holiday Stories

This book is amazing. It has 12 holiday stories from various authors including Rainbow Rowell, Stephanie Perkins, & Gayle Foreman. I have three more stories left. I absolutely love this book.

Four: Tropical vacation next year

It is very likely that I will be going to Turks & Caicos next year. My dad took me, my brother & his family there as my college graduation present in February of 2012. I had such an amazing time that I've been wanting to go back again and my dad is looking into going the beginning of next year. I'm crossing my fingers, toes, and anything else that can be crossed that this will happen.

Five: Words of wisdom

I found these pins on Pinterest in recent weeks and I'm trying to take the advice to heart.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
