My Month Is Booked: May 2024 Edition

Here's what I read in April 2024:

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice -Elle Cosimano

My Rating: 4 stars

This is the fourth novel in the Finlay Donovan series. Another great novel in this mystery series! I love the characters in these books and the adventures they get into.

Bright Young Women -Jessica Knoll

My Rating: 4 stars

This book is so good but so sad at the same time. It’s a fictional story but based on real life events (the Ted Bundy case). I really love this author. She has two other novels, Luckiest Girl Alive, which was made into a Netflix movie), and The Favorite Sister.

Ick Factor (Revenge Series) -Morgan Elizabeth

My Rating: 4 stars

I really loved this series. This is the last novel in the series. They are fun and easy reads and very enjoyable. I am going to continue to read more of Morgan Elizabeth’s novels. This is the first series I’ve read of hers.

Perfect Game -Megan Cousins

My Rating: 5 stars

Any book that centers around baseball? Sign me up! I love this author so much. Her first series (the Wild Pitches series) was amazing and this is the first book in her new series and I loved it just as much!

Night Shift -Annie Crowns

My Rating: 3 stars

I feel like this book was so heavy on the smut that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I did like the relationship between the main characters and the main characters and their friends. I also love the cover too.

Woke Up Like This -Amy Lea

My Rating: 5 stars

I loved this book so much. I think this is her only YA book that she’s written and I hope she writes more. I love the characters and the whole novel was just a delight from start to finish.

Three Simple Rules -Mary Karlik

My Rating: 3 stars

I enjoyed this book and this author’s writing style. I thought it was cute and fun and quick Y.A. read.

Funny Story -Emily Henry

My Rating: 5 stars

Another fantastic book from Emily Henry! I loved every minute of this book. I highly recommend this novel.

For the Love of Friends -Sara Goodman Confino

My Rating: 4 stars

This is my first novel I’ve read from this author and I immediately borrowed her other two novels on Kindle after finishing this one. My only critique of this book is that there are a lot of characters to keep up with and I kept getting a little confused. Other than that, I enjoyed this novel so much.

The Night in Question (The Agathas #2) -Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson

My Rating: 4 stars

I loved this book. It is the second novel in The Agathas series, a mystery series. I love the main characters and their relationship with each other and their friend group.

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

What We're Eating This Week... Monday: Pizza Tuesday: Caesar Salad Wednesday: Fajitas Thursday: Baked ziti Friday: Leftovers I'm not sure about Saturday & Sunday What I'm Reminiscing About... I have been looking at photos of my nieces and nephews from when they were younger and thinking of all the special memories we shared. What I'm Loving... I've been loving all the football. I really wanted the Buffalo Bills to make it into the Superbowl but sadly they did not. I've also been loving: reading, cuddles with my cats, filming for my Youtube channel, watching my nephew Nicky's basketball games (on streaming). What I've Been Up To... My mom had surgery on her foot so I've been taking care of her. I've also been watching lots of movies, TV shows, and sports. My niece came home from college for a weekend and we went to the bookstore and had coffee there and got some books. I purchased some books for myself and two books for my niece. Credit: Pip...
