1. Health Update

While this first thing isn't a favorite, I want to include it anyway. I've been dealing with a lot of ongoing health issues recently and in the past 2 years. I've been diagnosed with hip bursitis and have yet to find any relief for the constant and excruciating pain in my left hip. We have tried countless things to help lessen my pain. I have been to so many doctor's appointments and tried so many things and have yet to find any relief. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and I've been struggling a lot lately between both of these issues. I feel like I'm a burden to lots of people, especially my job and my family. I've been praying so much and reading lots of self help books and trying to do things I enjoy because all of these health issues have left me feeling so depressed, stressed, emotional and beyond worn out. My favorite word is JOY and I'm trying to not let everything that's been happening lately, steal my JOY but sometimes it's very hard.

2. Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, we celebrated at my job by having a class party and a school dance. It was lots of fun for everyone. I received Valentine's gifts from some of my students and it truly touched my heart. My mom gave me a Valentine's Day card and a DVD and my dad sent me a card and a scratch off.

3. Davey Eli

My fur-baby, Davey Eli, turned 11 on Valentine's Day. He is such a sweet boy and he brings me so much joy. I just wish he wanted to snuggle more often than he does. Here are some photos of him throughout the years:

4. Books Read in January

In January I read two self help books and I really enjoyed them both:

^At one of my planner conferences, Teresa Collins was the keynote speaker and her speech moved me and inspired me and I immediately purchased her book from her vendor shop after her session. I highly recommend this book.^

^This was the second book I read and I highly recommend this book as well. I loved this book so much and it was so inspiring. I want to read the rest of her novels now.^

5. National Love Your Pet Day

The other day was National Love Your Pet Day and I love my two fur babies, Davey Eli and Pumpkin with all of my heart. Here are some cute pictures of them:

^Pumpkin fell asleep on Davey and he was not happy about it. Two seconds after I took this picture, he jumped off the bed.^

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

Books Read In December 2021 & End of Year Book Survey

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
