Books Read in November 2021

No Words -Meg Cabot

Another great novel from Meg Cabot. I love her adult novels, just as much as I love her Ya novels. I rated this book 4 stars on the Goodreads website.

Apples Never Fall -Liane Moriarty

I love Liane Moriarty's books but this was definitely a miss for me. I felt that the book was dragged out, the storyline was very weird and I just didn't like it. I rated it 2 stars.

A Season for Second Chances -Jenny Bayliss

I enjoyed this book. I didn't like it as much as her first novel but it was still good. I liked the characters a-lot. I rated it 3 stars.

One Family Christmas -Bella Osborne

While this book wasn't my favorite, it was still a fun read. I love reading Christmas and holiday themed novels. I rated this book 2 stars.

So, This Is Christmas -Tracy Andreen

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and the storyline and I highly recommend it if you love Christmas themed books. I rated this book 4 stars.

  4. I thought Apples Never Fall could have been sped up tremendously and found myself questioning the last few chapters and their point entirely.... however, I did like the basic storyline/premise.

Apples Never Fall sounds interesting but I cannot do a slow moving book - had a few this year :(

    1. Me too. I love them all so much. Yes, it was very slow moving. It was probably my least favorite Liane Moriarty novel. I highly recommend her other novels though.

  7. I'm not a huge fan of Moriarty's books so the fact that you didn't like this one makes feel better, especially if it's slow moving. I can't do that right now.

    1. I think if I remember correctly, I loved all of her other books. This book was a big disappointment though!

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

What's Up Wednesday: October 2024 Edition

What We're Eating This Week... Monday: Leftovers (meatloaf) Tuesday: Chick Fil A Wednesday: Pizza I'm not sure about the rest of the week. What I'm Reminiscing About... When the Mets were in the World Series in 2015! What I'm Loving... Spending time with family, spending time with my best friend and her kiddos, watching sports (my nephew's football games, baseball, NFL, college football), Hallmark movies. What I've Been Up... I babysat for my best friend's adorable daughter while they were at a wedding and we had so much fun. We played with blocks, read (including one book like 15 times), watched movies and cuddled, and played with toys. I did some shopping (both online and in person). I had a bestie day with her and her kiddos. We went shopping and had Chick Fil A for lunch. I've been filming and uploading videos for my YT channel. What I'm Dreading... Nothing at the moment. What's Up Wednesday: January 2025 Edition

What We're Eating This Week... Monday: Pizza Tuesday: Caesar Salad Wednesday: Fajitas Thursday: Baked ziti Friday: Leftovers I'm not sure about Saturday & Sunday What I'm Reminiscing About... I have been looking at photos of my nieces and nephews from when they were younger and thinking of all the special memories we shared. What I'm Loving... I've been loving all the football. I really wanted the Buffalo Bills to make it into the Superbowl but sadly they did not. I've also been loving: reading, cuddles with my cats, filming for my Youtube channel, watching my nephew Nicky's basketball games (on streaming). What I've Been Up To... My mom had surgery on her foot so I've been taking care of her. I've also been watching lots of movies, TV shows, and sports. My niece came home from college for a weekend and we went to the bookstore and had coffee there and got some books. I purchased some books for myself and two books for my niece. Credit: Pip...
