What's Up Wednesday: October Edition

1. What I'm Eating This Week...

Monday: Steak, veggies, baked potatoes
Tuesday: Chick-Fil-A
I'm not sure about the rest of the week

2. What I'm Reminiscing About...

My weekend trip to NY last October to visit family. I spent quality time with my nieces & nephews. I watched the Mets in the World Series with my nephews, brother, and dad. I also went trick or treating with my niece/God-daughter O, attended my niece A's soccer game and attended my nephews J & N's football games! It was such a fun and special weekend.

3. What I'm Loving...

My family, being an aunt, spending quality time with my mom, attending planner meet ups & hanging out with my planner friends!

4. What I've Been Up To...

Earlier this month, Hurricane Matthew hit us. We didn't have damage except for our streets flooding and a piece of siding come off the house. However, a lot of surrounding areas weren't as lucky. My mom had a birthday this month and I love when I get to celebrate her and dote on her. Last week, I had a 48 hour stomach virus and I was home sick on Thursday & Friday. This week, my dad has a birthday and on Monday, it's Halloween!

5. What I'm Dreading...

Nothing that I can think of.

6. What I'm Working On...

I'm trying to get back into my reading mode. I haven't read a book in a while and that is not like me at all. I'm also trying to get better at blog posting as well.

7. What I'm Excited About...

I can't wait to see the movie, The Girl on The Train. I absolutely loved the book and the trailer for the movie looks awesome!

8. What I'm Watching/Reading...

Watching: All of my regular Fall TV shows & Bloodline on Netflix
Reading: I just started The Hundred Gifts by Jennifer Scott

9. What I'm Listening To...

Ryan Star, Michael Buble, Jana Kramer, Andy Grammer, Brett Dennen, Justin Timberlake

10. What I'm Wearing...

The usual... shirts, jeans/pants, sneakers.

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend...

Getting some things done around the house and relaxing!

12. What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month...

Thanksgiving

13. What Else Is New...

I think that I've covered everything.

Bonus Question:

What's Your Favorite Halloween Tradition?

As a kid, it was decorating for Halloween with my mom and trick or treating with my mom, friends, and my friend's moms and then coming home and eating pizza and some candy and watching Hocus Pocus.

Books Read in February 2022

The Code For Love & Heartbreak -Jillian Cantor I saw this book on sale for $10 and thought it looked interesting. It was a cute story line. A little repetitive at places but overall I enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars on the Goodreads website. When Less Becomes More -Emily Ley I love Emily Ley's books and I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Wild For Planners Go Wild Planner conferences. She is super sweet! I really enjoy her personal development books. I rated this book 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 4) -Alice Oseman I love this series so much. I love graphic novels and I really wish my library had more of them. I rated this book 4 stars. Bad Moms -Nora McInerny I like this movie (and the sequel A Bad Mom's Christmas) and I saw this at a discount store and I had no idea it was made into a novel. I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favorite book ever since I knew everything that happened since it stuck very close to the movie. I rated it 3 stars. Life, Unscheduled -K...

Books Read in January 2022

Heartstopper (Volume 3) -Alice Oseman While I was back home visiting my family for Christmas, I went to the mall with my dad and my nephews but I've been dealing with some health issues and my pain was really bad that day (and the mall was super crowded) so I ended up sitting in a chair at Barnes & Noble and reading the first two volumes of the Heartstopper series while they were shopping. I like this series. I love graphic novels but my library system doesn't have a lot of the ones I want to read and I will not buy graphic novels because I read them in a day. I rated this book 3 stars. Blame It On The Mistletoe -Beth Garrod I absolutely adored and loved this book so much. The characters, the plot, the setting... I loved it all. I rated this book 5 stars. Adequate Yearly Progress -Roxanna Elden I did not enjoy this book at all. I rated it 1 star. All I Want For Christmas -Wendy Loggia This is another super cute Christmas novel. I wasn't able to get to all of the Chr...

In December, I read 6 books. The first three books I read are apart of a series. The series is called Moose Springs, Alaska by Sarah Morgenthaler. I rated all three of these books 3 stars on the Goodreads website. This was a super cute series. I really enjoyed these books. They were fun, light reads. I think the fourth book in the series comes out in 2021. Book 1: The Tourist Attraction Book 2: Mistletoe & Mr. Right Book 3: Enjoy The View The Holiday Switch -Tif Marcelo I loved this book so much. It was such a cute, fun, and festive read. This is on my list of my favorite books I've read this year. I rated this book 4 stars. The last two books I read this month are also apart of a series. I rated both of them 3 stars. Heartstopper (Volume 1) & Heartstopper (Volume 2) -Alice Oseman Top 10 Favorite Books of the Year: 1.       Malibu Rising –Taylor Jenkins Reid 2.               ...
